The tireless guardian of people's rights,
A figure of extraordinary courage.
You are a leader,
A relentless worker,
Your days passed in ceaseless thought for all.
You are like the rays of the sun,
Like the glow of the moon—
And so, even from afar,
We are still illuminated by your light.
You are the rebel,
You rise with the light of hope.
You are the victor,
You have conquered death—
You are freedom itself!

তুমি গণতন্ত্রের প্রতীক
জনতার অধিকারের অতন্দ্র প্রহরী তুমি,
অসাধারণ সাহসী মূর্তি।
তুমি নেতা, তুমি কঠোর পরিশ্রমী,
দিন কেটেছে তোমার সবার চিন্তায় বিরামহীন।
তুমি সুর্যরশ্নি, চাঁদের আলোর মত,
তাই আজ বহুদূরে থেকেও-
আমরা তোমার আলোয় আলোকিত।
