Internationally, he represented Bangladesh at forums like the OIC and the UN Law of the Sea Conference, securing key treaties that protected the country’s maritime rights.
Khan’s leadership shone brightest in crisis; during the 1984 Dhaka plane crash, he personally led rescue efforts for twelve hours straight. His untimely death the next day marked the loss of a selfless leader.
